1 lb green beans, cut into 1- to 2-in pieces
4 T butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
½ c heavy cream
½ c chopped almonds, toasted (2 oz)
¼ t salt
¼ t pepper
- Steam beans for 6-8 min or until they are no longer crunchy.
- Melt butter over medium heat. Stir in garlic, cooking until fragrant (about 1 min).
- Add cream, almonds, salt, and pepper. Simmer until sauce has thickened (about 6-7 min), stirring frequently.
- Pour sauce over (drained) beans and stir until well coated.
